Been a while since I've seen someone ramble on for this long and say so little. Thanks, Ray!

It was a safe move for Simmons. One year and 5 million doesn't hurt the Devils. Devils will probably wait till the UFA signings and see which teams need to make cap space and make a trade if the terms are good. Trades and good drafting are what sustain success. Free agency is ok but those long term deals usually are good for a year or two and then start to hurt you. Panarinis a great player but 7 years at over 11 million is going to bite the Rangers after a few years. Especially towards the end of the contract.

Simmers gonna have a huge year. He came off an injury last year and still had solid stats with the flyers before the move to Nashville and those deadline moves are sometimes tough to settle into which was clearly the case with Wayne. So hype to see the Wayne Train rolling into Newark!
